Michael J. Goebel is one of three recipients of this year’s Loren Frankel Scholarships, awarded by the American Men’s Studies Association. The Scholarship notes rising talents in the fields of men’s and masculinity studies. Goebel’s presentation at the 2014 AMSA meetings was titled “Beached White Male: Imperiled Masculinity in the Great Recession,” a chapter fragment from his dissertation (in progress).
