Megan Fariello is a PhD student in the Cultural Studies program at George Mason University. She received her BA in American Culture and Film from Bryn Mawr College and more recently completed the Master of Arts Program in the Humanities from the University of Chicago. Additionally, Megan has spent time working at the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, NY as an Educator and is currently contributing reviews for film-forward.com. Her research is in film studies, using analysis, historical context, popular culture and issues of gender and sexuality. Specifically, Megan is interested in looking at the role of film music through genre, spectatorship, popular memory and nostalgia.
