Pawin "Win" Malaiwong

Pawin “Win” Malaiwong has been working with the School of Integrative Studies (formerly New Century College) for nearly four years both as an instructor and academic adviser. Classes that Win has taught range from “Narratives of Identity,” which is part of the Mason Cornerstones program, “Senior Capstone,” and “When Cultural Worlds Collide.” Win also has served as faculty mentor for numerous internships.

Win has his degrees in Literature and American Studies and is now working on his Ph.D. in Cultural Studies and Graduate Certificate in Folklore at George Mason. His areas of interests include, but are not limited to, contemporary theory and practice in folklore, the social constructions of gender, postcolonialism, third world cinema, and Native American literature and film.
