Melissa Beard received a BA in journalism from Michigan State University and an MA in Film and Media Studies from Wayne State University. She is a PhD student in Cultural Studies at George Mason University and currently serves as an Intercultural Specialist for Native American and Indigenous Students at The Ohio State University.
