Sitah Al-Qahtani began the PhD program in Cultural Studies in 2014. In 2007, she received her BA in English Literature at University of Dammam and in 2014 received her MA degree in English Language and Literature at King Saud University in Saudi Arabia. Her MA thesis is entitled: "Language Displacement and Cultural Identity Crisis in Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion and Brian Friel's Translations: A Post-Colonial Study". She has taught English as a second language at various institutions in Saudi Arabia including the University of Dammam and Arab Open University. Her interests include visual culture, gender studies, post-colonialism, literature and film.
