Tolga's research concentrates on the intersections of cognitive science, media, and culture. He has a Bs in Economics (ODTÜ, Ankara 2008), an MA in Critical and Cultural Studies (Boğaziçi University, İstanbul 2012). He continued with his research concentrating on media and psychoanalysis at the New School, New York City (2016-17), and started his doctoral work at GMU in 2017. A Ph.D. candidate of Cultural Studies, Tolga has lectured courses on globalization, film/media, and statistics/algebra. He has also written and contributed to a number of non-fiction books published in Turkish and English. Tolga's other academic and professional interests are subjectivity, performativity, popular culture, and photography.
