Dissertation Completion Grants are awarded to doctoral students in the final semester of their dissertation. The Grants enable students to focus full time on research and writing, improving quality of the work, and shortening the time to complete their degree.
Summer Research Fellowships provide financial support to graduate students during the summer term, allowing students to devote significant time to their dissertation or thesis research. The intent of the award is to foster greater professional productivity and to assist in timely degree completion.
The Interdisciplinary Curriculum Collaborative Award is awarded to graduate students whose thesis or dissertation research is original and interdisciplinary by nature.
Students nominate the recipient of this award, who they feel best exemplify excellence in teaching and has made a difference in their lives.
The purpose of the award is to assist students with financial need and to pay part of their college costs.
The Mellon Initiative in Urban Landscape Studies at Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and Collection offers semester-long fellowships to academics and designers, with additional opportunities for field research funding, and shorter-term invitational residencies for senior practitioners.
