Migrant Labor in the US: Roundtable Discussion and Q&A

Tuesday, April 7, 2015 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM EDT
Research Hall, Room 163

Why do people migrate to the US to work, at often great legal and personal costs? What are the challenges that they face? What can international and local non-profit organizations do to to ensure fair work arrangements? What does current US immigration policy do to prevent or discourage labor migration? If you are curious about the answers to these questions, please join us for a roundtable and audience Q&A with laborers from the Centreville Labor Resource Center (CLRC) that will discuss the experience of migrant work in the US.

This event is sponsored by George Mason's Global Affairs Program, Latin American Studies, CHSS, Global Interdisciplinary Programs, and Cultural Studies.
