As part of our Spring 2017 Colloquium Series, GMU Cultural Studies is proud to present a talk on U.S. immigration and its gender and racial aspects by Leah Perry, assistant professor of Cultural Studies at SUNY Empire State College. Her research interests encompass gender and sexuality, American Studies, immigration, race and ethnicity, and media and popular culture. She is the author of "The Cultural Politics of U.S. Immigration: Gender, Race, and Media" (New York University Press, 2016).
