We hope you can make it to our colloquium "Trump and the Challenges to Constitutional Democracy" with our speaker Dr. Chris Edelson from American University, Department of Government.

Chris Edelson is an assistant professor of Government in the School of Public Affairs at American University. He is also the director of Politics, Policy, and Law Scholars Program (PPL) and a fellow with the Center for Congressional and Presidential Studies. His research interests focus on presidential national security power under the U.S. Constitution. He is the author of the books Emergency Presidential Power: From the Drafting of the Constitution to the War on Terror (Wisconsin Press, 2013), winner of the Crader Family Book Prize in American Values, and Power Without Constraint: The Post 9/11 Presidency and National Security (Wisconsin Press, 2016).
