Provost’s Dissertation Completion Grant

Dissertation Completion Grants are awarded to doctoral students in the final semester of their dissertation. The Grants enable students to focus full time on research and writing, improving quality of the work, and shortening the time to complete their degree.

Provost’s Summer Research Fellowship

Summer Research Fellowships provide financial support to graduate students during the summer term, allowing students to devote significant time to their dissertation or thesis research. The intent of the award is to foster greater professional productivity and to assist in timely degree completion.

Young Scholars and Activists Initiative Fellowship

The Young Scholars and Activists Initiative of the Working Class Studies Association began in 2014.  Its intent is to support and encourage scholars, activists, and organizers early in their careers whose work has the potential for advancing Working-Class Studies as a field.
 
  • Early career status is defined as being a graduate student, in the first year or two of a post-graduation academic job, or in the first year or two of a job as an activist or organizer.
  • Awardees will be chosen each year from among those whose proposals are accepted for presentation at the Working Class Studies Association conference.

Presidential Scholar Summer Fellowship

Summer Fellowships for doctoral students who are recipients of the Presidential Scholarship provide financial support during the summer term. The award allows students to make significant progress toward degree completion and to support students’ professional development goals.
