Soojung Paek is a researcher, PR & Marketing manager, translator, and cultural programmer with a deep commitment to exploring the intersection of art and society. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Cultural Studies at George Mason University, focusing on urban visual culture, culture industry, and sense of belonging.
Originally from Korea, Paek brings a decade of experience in cultural exchange, programming, content creation, PR, and marketing across the arts, culture, and tourism sectors, providing a unique perspective on cross-cultural dialogue. As a graduate professional assistant at the Provisions Research Center for Art and Social Change, she is actively involved in exhibition research and serves as an art & social change librarian.
Her previous research projects include media art education aimed at promoting cultural diversity among teenagers, an analysis of Singapore’s immigration policy through the lens of the Commons framework, and examining the impact of art subsidies on equity in local policy, with a case study on Washington, D.C.
